I wouldn't really want to star in any, but I love the book Rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon, and it'd be cool if someone (Peter Jackson) made it into a movie :-P
Or Stephen King's "The Long Walk." It might be too disturbing, though..

A lot of the books I would like to have seen made into movies already ARE being made, or have been made. i.e., The Devil Wears Prada, The Nanny Diaries, The Lovely Bones...chick lit, for the most part.

However. I would LOVE to see Tim O'Brien's "Going After Cacciato" made into a film. O'Brien is a brilliant author.

As for who would star in it...maybe Hugh Jackman? I think he'd be terrific, although they may need a younger actor. Maybe he could narrate.

The Caretaker of Tree Palace.

I'd play the mom.

Blythe Danner could be the grandma and Chris Cooper as the dad. The main character could be played by some unknown 12-year-old boy. The birds would need to animated or preferably be actual birds.

there are so many books that I'd like to see made into a movie, its hard to choose, but there was this book I read when I was in Middle school by Lois Duncan where this Girl moves into a new town where all the teens there are actually reincarnated people from the Salem Witch trials, and they all try to hang the young girl when they all start to suspect her of witchcraft.

Well, I don't know which movie I would want to star in (although I am interested in acting), but I think that a remake of Fahrenheit 451 would be incredibly fantastic

Only comic books should be made into movies. Most movies made from books are better off not made.

All Souls by Michael MacDonald - about a family from South Boston in the 1970s...I wont be too obvious and place Matt Damon in it, but Mark Wahlberg could certainly pull this off.
