Of course it's a scam. Not just the stamp duty thing, but the whole thing.

Gullible doesn't work very well in this world.

First of all I'd like to clear that any lottary agenciey will not charge any fee from you to pay the prize money. Some cheating agencies are doing the business across the globe. As soon as you pay the transfer fee you'll not get trace of them. Its also difficult to recover money from them. Be aware of the touts who send mail about lottaries and transfer of fund from nigeria and south africa. Sometimes they send you some documents which resembles to original documents. Done forget any treaty or any agreement should be granted if it done in original paper, not on scanned copy. So insist on original paper and told them to send it through courrier or by post. I'm sure they should disappointed and dont send mail again to you. For more information you may visit the page www.419legal.com

Yeah thats a scam. Just delete it. I called the number there and they show me how to do the steps and everything to get your money and when i took the check to the bank (recieved in the mail), they said it was a fake check. It would give you the money but then later in your lifetime, you'll recieve a call saying u own like 200,000 dollars and then it'll take all your money out of your account.

Such a scam... think about it... if it weren't they could have just easily said that you won a million dollars but you will be receiving nine hundred and ninety nine thousand due to the stamp fees deducted.

NEVER, EVER...pay for these things. They are just a scam to get your money and you will never see it again. They do the same thing with people looking for roommates. Just follow the old saying, "if if sounds to be too good to be true...it probablly is". These scams are usually address from oversees. But I am sure there are plenty here too.

SCAM!!! Don't send them money. Anything that you have to send money or give credit card number to, to claim your prize is a scam. Be careful
