They are NOT DC comics, marvel comics, but I can't find them anywhere in comic shops the last time I looked. (Admittedly, only 2 or 3 shops!)

I think you mean the Alan Class comics - 7 or 8 different titles, 64 black & white pages + colour covers, ran from the mid 60s to the mid 80s reprinting (and re-reprinting) stories from 50s and 60s Marvel, Charlton, ACG, Tower. They don't turn up in comic shops much, but can be found on Ebay - best results if you search on "Alan Class".

Astonishing Tales and Tales of Suspense were both Marvel titles in the 60's. There was also Tales to Astonish (also Marvel). Tales of Suspense changed to Captain America with issue 100. Tales to Astonish became the Incredible Hulk after issue 101.

Tales of Suspense and the other Marvel titles started as semi-horror comics before converting to superhero titles.

I wonder if you are referring to the old EC comics. They had titles like "Haunt of Fear", "Vault of Horror" and "Tales From the Crypt". These were the original (and many think the best) horror comics. They spawned literally 100's of inferior copy cat comics.

The EC comics are very rare and very valuable. But they have been reprinted in several trade paper backs that almost any comic book shop can help you order.

In the 70's there was a little bit of a horror Renaissance with the Warren magazines Eerie and Creepy. Those are the black and white comics that the other answerer was probably referring to. They are pretty good and will be much easier to find than the original EC horror comics.

Yes i do. most were in black and white and some were written by DC and Marvel writers and artists. There should be some shops which sell them, just keep looking. Good luck.
