Ask him/her what their favorite brand of tampon is. Their answer should let you know whether or not they are educated on the subject and therfore identify their sex. .. . worth a shot?

I'll answer both:
Internet chat: Always demand quick cam and voice. You'll be 99% sure.
Real life chat: Look at the hands and wrists. Big hands = guy. Look for an adam's apple in the throat. Also look at the shoulders. Wide shoulders = guy. Finally, look at the eyebrows and upper lip. Protruding eyebrows and long upper lip = guy.
