I had that too -- turned out what I really needed was an energy boost. My body was working hard!!! Try eating something that will give you energy that is a little more substantial (like raisins and peanut combo with some m&ms thrown in). Seriously, this mix held me better, satisfied my sweet tooth, and I kept my weight under control!

I'm the same. 5 months and I keep having cravings for toffee and horrible childrens sweets that I would never normally eat.
I just make myself eat a proper meal before I let myself have sweets then I don't eat too many.
I just read that first answer about having diabetes, and I don't think that is true for a number of reasons, but the main one being that I had a test yesterday and I was fine. Diabetes has nothing to do with craving sugar, it's about how your body deals with the glucose.

That's about when my sweet tooth kicked in. The little one would get all frisky everytime I'd eat brownies, I think she gets it from her daddy, who loves sweets. But over indulging caused my sugar to be high during my gestational diabetes test. I was really enjoying the sweet tooth too. Before PG too much sugar would make me sick to my stomach. But now, I can do some serious damage to a pan of brownies and want more. Its funny how your body changes. I have cut back though the 2nd test came back ok...but I don't want to chance it. Besides we shouldn't let ourselves over indulge.

I had that with my first pregnancy, it turns out I had gestational diabetes through. A lot of women crave either sugar or salt it is common. My current pregnancy it has been more salty things than sweets.

I had the same exact thing. I ate fun dip, chewy sweet tarts, NERDS! Soooo much sugar and I'm fine and so is my baby. Don't worry. When your pregnant and your craving something...eat it.
