Jose Lima, for one sings to himself on the mound. I agree with the post about Bill Spaceman Lee. He was totally out there. Roger McDowell was an oddball, constantly putting bubble gum on players hats and setting teammates cleates on fire (with their feet in them).

I love Carl Everett, homophobe that he is, but how can he not believe that dinosaurs existed? (Does Bonds have that problem, too?) I've read lots about superstitions players have like not washing articles of clothing, only using bats that didn't make outs, throwing away gloves, touching or not touching whatever...but the weirdest I've heard is that Leo Cardenas (Rangers) was afraid of the letter "X" and opposing players would draw them in the dirt to scare him!
p.s. Hey Straight Edge what's with the Asian's being wierd?

Nomar Garciaparra. He does so many things before he can bat. He has to adjust his batting gloves a bunch of times, touch the bill of his helmet, he digs into the dirt for a while and he does this before every pitch. Then he also walks sideways when he goes up or down the dugout steps so that both of his feet are on the same step. I think he's hilarious!

Carl Everett a good player with some truly wacky ideas who can be a mess in the clubhouse, which explains playing for 8 teams in 12 years....

Turk Wendell
he used to brush his teeth between innings and wouldn't pitch until the center fielder waved to him.
Barry Bonds might be a close second. Barry should check out the museum of natural history sometime. Dinosaurs did exist Barry.

Johnny Damon, but I like him anyway.
Actually most MLB players are kinda weird in one way or another. At least they're not overly violent like NBA players are.

Bill "The Spaceman" Lee - his nickname is a giveaway. He'd talk to the baseball on the mound and threw an eephus pitch. He had many controversial beliefs and was known to drink heavily and do drugs, even before pitching. He also threatened to bite an umpire's ear off once.

Barry Bonds. Either because he is the most ignorant man in the entire world to think that anyone believes that he has not taken steroids or because he is telling the truth meaning that he has the only skull in the world with the capabilities to grow to the size of a beach ball.
