I've tried on several bathing suit bras and all of the ones that tie or clip around the neck hurt my neck. I tried extending the strap to its capacity, but the weight of my bust pulls on the string and makes my neck hurt a lot. Are there any comfortable bathing suit bras out there which tie around the neck, or are those reserved for smaller chests only? I'm a D cup for reference - does this mean that I should only look for bathing suit bras with two standard straps instead of the ones that tie around the neck if I want to avoid discomfort?

You are probably gonna have to go with a suit that offers a wider band that goes around the neck. But here is a site that I think might be of help to you.

I know what you mean I have the same problem. Carry around a size D wrapped around your neck is a lot of weight. You might be able to get a thicker strap, though I've never really seen any. Or you will just have to settle for a traditional bathing suit. It sucks being well indowed doesn't it.

Shoulder straps will help reduce the stress, but if you want a halter style, go with one with the wider, and more fashionable, sash ties and a WIDE strap around the midriff, which will add a lot of extra support. PROA and Red Carter offer some high fashion choices. I also saw a few of those swimsuit styles at Nordstrom's during the holidays. I believe that Victoria's Secret also offers that type of swimsuit.

They make them, but you need to buy one that's really well made and constructed, and that can be costly, as well as hard to find. I'd suggest that you google for "D cup bathing suits" and check out some of the suits online. You only want to buy online if you can return the suit due to poor fit, and some places will allow you to do that. Nothing wrong with picking the brains of the ones that don't allow it, though. ;) If you see a suit that you like, call the toll-free number and ask about it.

I just found this place, they have D-cup underwire tops on these suits, they look well made and comfortable, and they have a 90 day return policy with tags on. You can only get in touch with them via e-mail, but they look like they have nice stuff. Write to them if you see something that you like.

i understand what you advise I even have the comparable hardship. carry around a length D wrapped around your neck is a lot of weight. you in all risk able to get a thicker strap, regardless of the indisputable fact that i've got in no way particularly important any. or you will in basic terms would desire to settle for a usual bathing suit. It sucks being stable indowed does not it.

Try a halter with thick straps. Or one that has normal straps but crosses in the back. Their are also plenty of one pieces that are extremely cute.

i would suggest wearing halters with thick, not thin, straps. those can support the weight more.
