i have a psp which has a blamk screen when the power is on sony say that it is a corrupt software update?

is there anyway I can fix this myself without giving sony £65 for a recon system

It is on standby keep pussing the power knob on the side up and down then ti will kick into life

Nope you have what is called a bricked PSP. The only way you could possably fix it is to have a mod chip installed but that would cost you about $80 more than just having sony fix it.
