I would love to be pregnant... I just don't want to give my hopes up...Has this ever happened too anyone and it turned out positive?

Absolutely -- sperm lasts for 5 days in the female body, and the egg is alive for 2. You could definitely be pg.
You don't say if you would want to be or not. If you do want this, congrats! hopefully you are. If you don't want this, please use protection!!!! Don't go crazy every month waiting for the period to start....
