we are quick enough to condemn countries (ie China or Islamic states) who oppress people's religious freedom and right to choose.

why is Boruc at fault????? surely the blame lies with narrow minded bigoted scumbags.

Have a Happy Holidays. God Bless One & All +

I think you should stop being so disingenuous, and give people a little background information about this incident, dont you???

The fact that he's the Celtic keeper doing it in front of thousands of Rangers fans and that he already KNOWS that it will, at the very least, wind them up big time makes it very wrong. He might just as well have waved a picture of the Pope at them, it would have had the same effect.

Its just like when Gasgoine pretended to play a flute in an Orange marching band in front of Celtic fans...a stupid thoughtless act with no consideration as to how he was inciting the crowd to violence.

If it wasn't a pre-meditated act ..then it was a very, very silly thing to do in the circumstances, and if it was pre-meditated then its an clearly an incitement to riot and he should be cautioned by the police for that.

edit: WELL, IF HE DOES IT AS A RITUAL BEFORE EVERY GAME, THEN EITHER THE CELTIC MANAGEMENT SHOULD HAVE HAD A QUIET WORD IN HIS EAR ABOUT GETTING IT DONE WHILE HE WAS STILL IN THE DRESSING ROOM, OR TONING IT DOWN BECAUSE IT COULD BE EASILY INTERPRETED AS A DELIBERATE WIND-UP. BOTH TEAMS KNOW THE SCORE ABOUT THE DIVISONS IN THE CROWD...WHY SEEK TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE??

I thought this was a free country, so what he blessed himself, I do it every day but not to upset anyone. This is part of my culture, why can't people just accept others for who they are, instead of trying to find faults, life is to short. God Bless you all

A LOT OF PLAYERS BLESS THEMSELVES BEFORE A MATCH. if some of the less ignorant answerer's understood the true meaning of blessing yourself, it might help.
its the shortest form of prayer which should not be mistaken for an antagonistic act.
anyone who got married in a church should be ashamed of themselves if they have a problem with this simple prayer.why not just go to a registry office if you will not allow this simple act. bigotry with bias is a terrible thing.

Its a crazy situation that you lot let yourselves get so involved in this pointless drivel that you give a toss about Gazza's flute playing or someones prematch ritual!

Me, wear ma lucky panties on a Saturday and i'm just in it for the fitba!!

I agree that Gazzas was more inflamitory but as an agnostic prod, who went to chapel cause I had the hots for the altar boys......

Message to Arcadia . . . actually, I was going to say something about how pathetic it is that Rangers fans get upset with someone crossing themselves, but I can't be bothered.

Grow up!!!!

Funny that!!. I didn't know as a person born and bred in this country that it was a crime for me or anyone else to bless themselves. Good grief!!! What a crime eh!!

Arcadia!! Artur has been blessing himself long before he came to Celtic. It was a ritual he performed everytime before each match . Why should he give in? What crime has he committed??

NOthing wrong with what he is doing at all. Players all over the world do this week after week but because he plays for celtic and what has previously happened all of a sudden he should not be doing it?

I think he should continue with it
