Why do snowflakes form into crystallization patterns??

Water is made of polar molecules that are shaped like (ignore the three line to the left of the drawing)

The hydrogen molecules are slightly positive, and orient themselves to face the slightly negative oxygen atoms. This results in a crystal pattern.
