Suprisingly yes, I work for a doctor and we are so busy right now it's ridiculous, the world doesn't stop just because of a holiday, it sucks but that's life.

I work in an upscale restaurant, and we are open every single day of the year....EVERY holiday including christmas, thanksgiving and new years. Its the busiest time of the year for the restaurant industry right now. Tons of people go out to eat on holidays now...our reservations are booked for X-mas eve, and really full for Christmas.
So yes, its a very busy time for a lot of industries.

I know I took my daughter to the othodontist this morning, and would've been ticked off if they had been closed all during the holiday break. Many families who don't travel use the breaks from school to get things done like doctor's check ups, dental cleanings, eye check ups, etc.
p.s. Dean, if my transmission goes out 2 days before Christmas, you can bet I'm thinking about it.....

Because our bosses are money hungry and want all the money they can get since we are going to be closed for two days. I am pretty busy i am the receptionist for a toyota dealership and the phones are ringing off the hook with everyone trying to get their vehicles serviced before they travel and some people are actually buying cars as gifts.

Well, actually some people have to work even though we don't feel like it. I'm working at a doctor's office and when patient comes, we have to work.
