Lol...that depends....before or after the hurricane? I lived in Metairie, Louisiana (a town on the outskirts of New Orleans) for 9 years until the storm. However, a year after the storm, everything still looks like cr@p.
So personally, I'm going to sell my house there (even though it is a great city) and stay in Houston.
Never been to Jackson, Mississippi, but Johnny Cash sang about it, so it can't be that bad, right? ;)
So my choice would be neither.

Well I was born in New Orleans, so I got enough of it then,( a whole 2 or 3 weeks), and I would rather die than live in Jackson! I am not a fan of either, to LIVE in that is!! I would rather live in my small town!:)

Nawlins is a good party town with lots of history good food and things to do also much work to be done with a good chance to grow again so chances for a good future are brighter in my opinion than a city that is established allready plus the Saints are becomeing America's football team as was the Dallas Cowboys so future growth looks limitless.

I would live in New Orleans if I was able to go and assess how bad it still is. Personally I'm not an expert...so I couldn't tell ya'.
I will say it was/is one of my favorite cities.

Mississippi, I don't know much about it but it would have to be better that Sodom and Gomorrha New Orleans

NOLA is like Vegas; nice to visit but that's it. Too many problems to live there.
