when i turn the stiring wheel full turn and go forward there is a bit of a thud?

the front wheels also seem to twich when this hapens. any idea what it is and how much could it cost?

check the ball joints

Sounds like the power steering belt is slipping. It's hard to say how much it will cost, b/c it may be just the belt, or more. Have it checked.
