i know that in formal and work- like circumstances, shoes are more acceptable, especially in the work place. but i prefer trainers myself. i like the fact that they are comfortable on your feet and they're not just for sport and other lifestyle and recreational purposes. i also prefer trainers because of the different brands, designs and colours. plus of the fact they have become something of a popular cultural icon in the past 30 years or so. of course there is the issue of people being paid crap wages and treated inhumanely in factories as those in indonesia, taiwan, china- all for producing and making the trainers. this has to be addressed
so out of the two, do you like shoes or trainers (or sneakers if you're american) and say why? also state what are your favourite brands of shoes and/or trainers

This is a really hard question for me to answer as i am a shoe addict! it depends on what mood I'm in or what the weathers like.
trainers are great for going shopping in coz they r so comfy, and they r great with a pair of jeans and a wee t-shirt. My favourite brands would be Nike, Adidas and Puma.
Shoes/boots can really smarten up an outfit. When i need a confidence boost i get out my knee high boots slap on a bit of make up and I'm good to go. I love the shoe shop Faith but i go anywhere for shoes as long as they r good quality.

sneakers are for gym and the gym only. I have way more comfortable shoes and sandals that I would rather wear on a daily basis to work and any other activity that I do. Gym shoes are very ugly. They are all pretty much the same looking to me. white clunky things with splashes of color. I had to live thru all of the crazy Air Jordan phases from the 80s.
fave shoes include kenneth cole, keen, dansko, mephisto

I like shoes more in general. I only wear sneakers (American) to exercise or when there is ice on the ground, I wear the sneakers until I get to my destination, then I change my shoes. And when I am having a casual day at the mall, I wear plain white K-Swiss sneakers with shoelaces to match my clothes

I like shoes purely for the fact of the variety and they give me (personally speaking) a more feminine feel.
I only wear trainers when doing exercise related things, and the trainers i do wear are ones from asda!! anything else and its shoes. If it something that needs practical footwear i tend to wear a pair of my plain coloured pumps, i find they are much more comfortable than trainers!
For work its plain pumps/stilettos/courts/boots
I find shoes more versatile and give my outfit that bit extra!

Some people love to wear shoes on all occasion and some like sneakers thats their choice, but I love shoes for every occasion there shoes that are so comfortable that at times if you dont look down you dont remember that you have on shoes certain make shoes of course.

i am definitely a sneaker freak,i would wear sneakers all the time if i could, which is mostly. I have like ten pairs of sneakers and my newest are the keds dolce skimmers that are like ballerina flats.. i have two pairs of those.. you can wear them with sklirts or dresses. My faves are vans, etnies, keds white champion, keds skimmers, new balance

I prefer No shoes at all !! But if i have to choose , I wear Sneakers, I like Skechers & Bebe !

i either wear flat pumps, boots or trainers but only if they are converse/vans etc, i do not like sports brand trainers

i love my trainers cos there just so comfy but i also love my boots and my shoes cos they look so smart and great so urmmm.... i guess i dont have a fave
