Part of series by James Patterson. human bird hybrids on the run from the scientists. There are two books in the series. The Angel Experiment (2005) , and School's Out Forever (2006). The final book in the trilogy, Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, is set to be released in May 2007.
The flying is the best part. The way the kids describe it is incerdible. I was sad when the lab was exposed and the deformed and dying hybrids were revealed in this saga. How can their creator not feel the love that eminates from each of them no matter what form they are in? So many mistakes to get to a perfect hybrid. So much pain and suffering. IS this how our human experiment with genetic engineering may turn out. Will we seek a similar hybrid to improve the human condition and will some be chosen and some discarded? Will there be heros to save them, care for them them, and know how to deal with an entirely new set of circumstances??? Time will tell. Read the book.....
They have strength and capabilites like birds, yet act like typical teenagers. It is cool.

He wrote a semi knew e book called "Witch and Wizard. " it isn't just about as good as optimal journey, yet nonetheless extremely good. with the help of ways, I heard they are making a movie for optimal journey! WOOHOO!!! :) you want Percy Jackson? I read that book. It was an awesome book. It was pretty long, but it was very interesting. Is there a sequel to the book.
