Sounds like a weak battery. Not enough cold cranking amps to turn over the starter motor.

Your battery is weakest when it's cold, thus the reason for it not being able to supply enough current to start the car.

Check the electrolite levels in the battery first and fill if necessary.
(This may solve your problem). If not, have the battery load tested (typically for free) at an auto parts store and they can give you a good idea of the state of the battery and if it needs to be replaced.

Yeah get a new car you cheap piece of crap. Just kidding. It might be the alternator that is causing the problem. Or it could be the starter and the fact that they sometimes do not tend to start when they are cold on older cars. I have never had this problem personally, but I have noticed that my Jeep sometimes doesn't want to start when it is extremely cold. I am no mechanic, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Sounds like the solenoid might be freezing up. Someone needs to check the 12v to it from the ignition switch when you try to start.
You can tell if it's bad battery or battery cables by the dome light. It will go out when you try to start if the they're are bad.

You might try cleaning the battery cables- my pickup did that and all it took was disconnecting it and the reconnecting it and then it started- but have your battery checked too.

it could most likely be a moisture problem. Check your dist. cap to see if there are any cracks or if it has not been changed recently I would change that out....start there and see if that helps.
