No, it will never go away. The politicians need the votes of old people. So they will never, ever stop stealing from this generation to buy votes of the older generation.

It's sad that politicians are that evil. It's even more sad that our parents and grandparents generations allow it to keep happening.

I agree with Wmcritter but each year there are fewer workers and more elderly. Eventually they will need to find a new source of income or the economy will fail. We cannot keep borrowing money; eventually China will quit loaning it to us.

I fear the next source of income will be tribute from our conquered nations. Iraq could only be the first.
