That depends upon what is rated as 'good and decent'. If what is meant is "family values", "charity", "faith", "lawfulness", "security", "republic", then conservatives do not hate them. On the other hand, if the meaning is "cut and run", "coward", "socialism", "welfare", etc, then there may be a point there.
