It isn't hard when you live way out in the country so that cable doesn't reach here and satellite is prohibitively expensive for my limited budget. Even the antenna blows off course regularly--I watch one show a week, on PBS. That's it! Now, if I had cable/satellite, I'd be glued to A&E, Sci-Fi Channel, Cartoon Network, TV Land, The Learning Channel, Discovery, Turner classic movies and the like--not the drivel you're referring to on sensation-TV. But I'm addicted to the internet instead...oh well!

If I'm in my bed and I can't find my remote then, yes, it is very hard to turn off the tv. So I guess I will have to watch Access Hollywood after all.

It is very hard to turn off the TV especially when your remote has no batteries and you have to get up from the sofa to shut it.
