Yes I did. I do have kids and I will tell them Santa Claus is real for as long as they want to believe.

I did believe in Santa until I was about 6 when I found all the christmas presents under the tree from santa, were the same ones I had snooped from under the bed a few days befor. I was angry and devastated that my parents were such liars. Hmmmm Yes I do tell my 4 year old there is Santa. When I believed in Santa there was so much magic attached to Christmas. I just want to recreate that magic for my kids. If only for awhile.

Yes i believed in Santa as a child. I remember getting so excited on Christmas eve, I have nothing but wonderful memories of Christmas when I was young. I am pregnant with my first child, and will definently tell them Santa is real. My husband actually bought the baby presents this year for Christmas, even though I'm due in June!!!! Happy Holidays

My parents made sure right at Kindergarten to inform me of the falseness of Santa Clause. The only illusion they gave me was religion.
However, I dont think there is anything wrong with giving kids a little fantasy. Kids grow up and it's a really tough world, why not give them a little fun when they are young? I let my kids believe in Santa, and inform them of the myth of religion. Just the opposite of what my parents did.
(What's the difference? Well, believing in Santa for a short time doesn't cause wars. That's in case anyone asks.)

I did believe in Santa as a child, and I remember crying when i found out he wasn't physically real in 4th grade. No, i don't have kids but when i do, i will let them believe until 3rd grade. But remember, some people on here may be 7-10 years old. Kids can get Yahoo! accounts with the approval of parents. You may just be ruining a child's fantasy with that question.

Yes, I did believe in Santa. We let our son believe. We never said there was a Santa or there wasn't one. His aunt and cousins provided the info, we just went with it. He was 8 when we were watching "Big Fish" and the main character told his father "You are as fake as Santa and the Easter Bunny!" My son's face dropped. He asked if it was true. I explained that Santa is about the magic of Christmas and that he is real as long as you believe in him. He still swears Santa is the only lie we ever told him. I keep telling him we never lied, we just let him believe. Amazingly enough though, he starts "believing" in Santa every year around November! :)

You mean santa is not real? Oh no I will need to see a therapist! In all seriousness, tell the kids about Santa, they will figure out later that he is not real , so injoy having the little ones get excited about Santa, they grow up too fast.

I did, but as I got older I learned that he lived at one time and now it's the spirit of giving and him that's still around. However I know the real reason and it's not believing in Santa Clause or being with loved once and certainly not getting or giving presents it's Jesus. He's the reason for the season but I think it's good that kids have something like that to believe in as long as parents explain to them that he once lived and the spirit is still around.

Yes, I did believe in Santa. I was lucky enough not to have some traumatic experience discovering Mom & Dad's role and then even more lucky to have always had younger relatives around who still believed.
I don't have kids yet, but I fully plan on Santa being a part of our celebrations.

I did believe in Santa until i was 10.As far as my kids go, yes they believe in Santa and i will keep telling that he is real. I want to keep there childhood memories as long as i can. Although someone told my daughter that Santa Clause died, luckily she didn't believe them, I think people should let children be children.
