Ditch her. She is obviously just using you guys so she looks like she always has friends. Sorry to break this to you but she thinks her new friends are cooler than her old friends (you). Eventually something will happen with her new friends and she'll come running back. Blow her off! If you don't want to blow her off, then just come to the reality that you guys are just friends in stead of best buds, and don't get upset when she doesn't hang with you guys as much as she used to.

Friendship is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behaviour between two or more social entities.

friendships is often the result of a friend demonstrating on a consistent basis:
the tendency to desire what is best for each other.
sympathy and empathy.
honesty, perhaps in situations where it may be difficult for others to speak the truth.
mutual understanding.

I don't feel that I would blow her off, I would let her know your feeling. Then if you choose you can place her in the acquaintance category.

You should tell her how you feel. Let her know that the way she is acting ("the only time she wants to talk is when her new friends are gone or busy.") is not how best friends treat each other. Ask her if she feels like you are still best friends and if she'd like if you treated her like that. If you are truely best friends, you will overcome any obsticle. If you want her in your life, tell her. I made the mistake of letting my relationship with my best friend slip away and 10 years passed before we talked again. so much happened in both our lives that each of us missed out on because we weren't honest and open with each other.

I'm confused: the one who won't talk to you anymore wouldn't leave your side at the meeting? If so, it sounds like she's confused. Accept the fact that she's moved on to new friends, but that doesn't mean you can't be friendly with her now and then, when the occasion arises. You're not as close as you used to be, but that's okay. She's not your "best friend," but she's still a friend.

i think that she feels itimidated by the fact she didnt wanted to lose her best friend. i believe that she really enjoys being around you because she doesnt have anyone else that she can go to for anything but you. i think that it should be given a chance and i think that things will work out between you and her

Dude if shes treating you like that you should tell her to leave you alone!! if shes only going to talk to you when she has no one else to talk to then tell her how stupid shes being and that you don't like her very much for it!!...just stick it to her!! she so isn't being very nice to you so just tell her she isn't.
the best of luck!!
