J.K.'s books are good for kids i think i have personally never really read one so i can't judge.
no i am not supersticious, for the most part anyways lol

To me Rowling's writings are a total bore, not my type of reading.
When France plays, I wear my 1998 Zidane # 10 jersey but it has nothing to do with superstition, I just want to be in the mood. As for any other games, I don't do anything. I'm not a superstitious person, maybe that's why I don't care for Harry Potter.
