Hello! In Russian we have a word "Evristika" and I need to know how it will be in English! Maybe Evristics or Euristics, or Ewristics or something comepletely different!
"Evristika"-(from Greek - find) is the science that studies the creative activity, methods used while inventing something new and while learning.
Another:
"Evristika" -
1) the totality of methods of findings the solvings of problems
2) the way of studying that has it's roots is Socrat's Mayevtics.
If somebody has understood what word I was talking about please tell me!

Maybe it's not research. That seems to be this Russian word:

исследовательский

But I've tried about 5 different dictionaries - and babelfish, which gives only the same word back - and can't find an answer.
Could you put the word up here in the Cryllic alphabet?
