Just wondering because some people seem to be offended by the christian tone of Christmas lately.

It depends. If it is Christmas day then I will say Merry Christmas. Or, if it is a few days before then I'll say Merry Christmas. If it is a holiday office party then I might say Happy Holidays so that I can get both Christmas and New Years in at the same time.

I'm not offended because I am a christian but I like to hear both. I mostly say Merry Christmas and Happy new year but still hearing both is alright. Sometimes I say Happy Holidays but mostly Merry Christmas.

I say both. I celebrate Christmas, but not religiously. Saying Merry Christmas is fine because there is a holiday called Christmas. Saying Happy Holidays is fine too, because there are holidays. It's just that simple.

I say Merry Christmas, unless I know the person celebrates some other holiday. That way, I don't offend them.

Although I find it sad that people get offended by Merry Christmas, I think it's okay to say it or Happy Holidays. Or better yet, I say this, which I adapted from a Virgin Mobile Phone commercial and covers the three major holidays that are celebrated at this time of the year:

HAPPY CHRISTMAHANNAKWAZAAKAH!!!

Shoot, why hate on one saying? Celebrate the diversity of ALL holidays!!!

It depends. If they're anything but Christian or don't celebrate Christmas I say happy holidays. However, I don't say Merry Christmas. I say Merry X-mas
