Either something serious - scented candles are a good idea, or go into The Body Shop and they sell aroma oils. Actually, The Body Shop is a great place to find stuff for under £10.
Or do something jokey for Xmas - some flashing earrings (you can buy these from Claire's Accessories or most budget shops) and a Santa hat.
Good luck

I don't think that you should buy her anything too personal. I think that buying her black nail polish, gothic jewellery and make up may seem a bit stereotypical. Why not try something like a bath bomb or shower stuff. Everybody loves a relaxing bath, and if there's a Lush in your town, they do gorgeous gift boxes from as little as £5. Failing that, something impersonal like a scented candle or a photo frame always goes down well, and some places sell bamboo, all arranged in different shapes. They look really effective and everybody likes bamboo!
I hope you get something for her!

Can you get her a gift card to a store that she may like? It sounds like you are from the UK and I am from the states. I'm not sure if you have the same stores. In the states, we have Spencer Gifts in most malls and they sell lost of goth stuff. When I was younger, I dated a guy who was gothy and he collected these strange gargoyle and dragon statues. I found lot of those in Spencers and the mall. Do you have Hot Topic stores in the UK? I like the candle idea...black if you can find them. I was also thinking black fishnets and black eyeliner...but she may take that the wrong way. What about a online gift certificate to Amazon.com (they also own cd now so she can buy music) or Ebay. If you have her e-mail address, they can be sent directly to her instantly. Hope this helps.

i recently baked my secret santa cookies and muffins and then I melted candle wax from a community craft save, and extra color and a fragrance. The baking replaced into basic and relaxing, yet i does no longer propose the candle till you have lots of time. if your reciever likes photos you may cause them to a scrapbook or a recipe e book. wish this helps!

Is there a hot topic store nearby? Anything there would be good. If not, go to any hallmark or anything like that and get some purple, blue or black candles and some jasmine incense. Good luck.

Wow, Mate. You are really up against it. Why not a collection of candles? She might really like those. If not, she can pass them on to someone else!

Is their not a new age shop in your town?
Failing that - a candlestick, gothic style scarf or gloves.

We did this at work...really fun. I went to Home Depot and bought one of those inflatable yard ornaments....a penguin to be exact and placed it in my co-workers chair so when he came in the next morning, he was greeted by this huge silly inflated penguin. I'm still giggling about it.
