I have a gay sister and my problem with her is she is so busy being "Out, Loud and Proud." We go to a restaurant and she can hardly order without some Pride March breaking out. She just wanted a burger and onion rings and for some reason the waitress had to "let it be known" she was gay and proud.
I have NO problem with gay people. I used to live across the street from a huge gay churcha nd would at times attend services.
My sis has been FIRED from 3 jobs because of gay sexual harassment. She is so busy trying to convert all women or so busy being Loud, Proud and Out, she can't hold a job or even order a burger. So she is gay? So What? Why can't she realize she has LOST 3 jobs in 5 years due to sexual harassment of another female???

There are bad apples in EVERY barrell, your sister just happens to be one of them. The good thing is that most "Out and Proud" or as I call them "in your face" lesbians, is that given time they do tend to settle down.
What she needs to know is that no one can be "converted." Its not some club or sorority, we simply are who we are.

my brothers gay and my sister in law. and theyve never had that problem. talk to her tell her how you feel. she doesnt need to shout out about being gay. who cares if people know. and she doesnt need to "convert" all women. as long as she has friends and family who support her, she should be happy about that. and about the job thing, tell her. im sure the gay community wouldnt want her to be loosing her jobs!!!!if shes proud, ok tell her to get a rainbow or a pink triangle tattoo on her arm!! then she can just show off the tattoo instead of being loud!!

Woah. You sound exactly like my cousin. Her sister, my other cousin, is exactly like this ... the job loss and everything. I don't know why people go through this sometimes after they come out. Maybe it's just after suppressing it for so long they can't help it. Maybe you can talk to her and tell her that you think you see something that she doesn't see in her behavior of it, and that you think it's "hurting" her without her realizing it. If you can't talk to her without her blowing up over it, don't bother. It's not worth it. Maybe you can take the lighthearted approach and be her heterosexual bookend about it, with good humor, so she can kind of look in the mirror about what she's doing. ?

How is your family accepting it? That maybe why shes so OUT like you say. She needs a girl and to get layed and tell her that being confident is OK its a turn on but to be harassing is not and if she doesn't stop she'll never get layed thats all.
She needs support she just doesn't know how to get it....

This has less to do with her being gay than it has to do with her overall ability to function in society. Gay or not, when you are on the job, those duties need to come first. She doesn't need to hide who she is, but to make everyday a parade is not helpful either.

Have you told her this? If you have then STFU. If she embarasses you stay away from her at least in public. She's your sis not your child you're not responsible for her. It's her life if she wants to ruin it that's her business no need for you to be dragged into her selfmade drama.
