We are having a ritual at a friends house. We are decorating and lighting candles and exchanging gifts. It will be fun and we will be singing pagan carols. as we turn all the lights back on.

I'll dance in the moonlight at midnight probably. if we have any moonlight. If we do not have moonlight, then I hope it will snow. Tomorrow I will light candles instead of turning on the electric lights. I am a Christian, by the way. I am just going to celebrate the fact that He has Given us another Winter.

I will celebrate the winter solstice by building a bonfire and dancing around it. I will paint symbols on my body and dance and chant to the beat of my native American drum. It is a celebration of the end of the days getting shorter and the return of the sun. It means the approach of spring warmer days. I will give thanks to the spirits. No, I am not crazy or godless..just feel the primitive in me, as when our ancestors were first here on the earth. Sometimes we have to connect with nature and the feel the oneness of all.

I actually have a CEO mandated half day at work, so a dear friend and I are planning on celebrating all the general holidays when we get out. (Wow, I'll actually get to see some sun for once this season!) I'll probably light some candles and have my own private ritual when I get home.

we'll my Friend and i will probably try another mini bonfire in the backyard. most likely that won't work to we'll and we'll just have a simple ritual to thank the goddess for giving us back the sun and welcome back the sun. something simple but still thank full and celebratory. sadly we can't get away or anything so were stuck with small.

Turn off the electric lights, stay up all night, and drum up the sun.
Then we have a feast & go to bed!
