I'd say it depends on the State the business is located in and the laws concerning squatting.

Remember, squatting doesn't entitle you to the assets, intellectual property, copyrights and name of the business. Squatting is merely assuming control of neglected land for a pre-determined period of time.

Generally, the squatter must pay all property taxes on the property for a period of time (without them also being paid by the actual owner, if the actual owner is still paying property taxes, it's almost impossible to squat that land).

Even if you successfully squat the land, chances of being able to assume the business are almost nil unless the actual business owner makes no protest about your actions.

I would say it is trespassing. But then think how difficult it is to remove travellers from land and that is exactly what they do.

legally yes, morally no.
there are many empty shops and this time of year, 'squatters' move in, open a fake shop make money, and then disappear.
when you go to complain about the toy that has no inside!

Sure you can. you can do anything you want until someone says you can't, it is there property and you are not welcome. Then be prepared to pay for any damage they say you caused and maybe
be arrested for trespassing.
