I love my partner but he a bit bossy at ties and we bicker at times! Nothing too bad though but not a 10, is this normal?

A tendency towards being bossy is quite common in strong men. As long as its not being controlling (i.e he is able to compromise on certain issues, and he isnt demeaning you or upsetting you) then a LITTLE bossiness is ok in my books, i quite like a man who is a little strong-minded. But a 7 is pretty good, especially if you've been together for some time.

Many people are looking for perfection when they are younger but the truth is, perfect doesnt exist. People have to be realistic and I guess that comes with time. When I was younger I expected to marry a man who looked like Tyson Beckford (google him if you dont know him), was on a six figure salary and thought the world of me. Today my hubby is shorter and much poorer than the man I wanted when i was younger, but he DOES think the world of me and we want for nothing. I love him dearly. I would rate our relationship as about 7/7.5 - because since we have had our daughter the passion has kinda dwindled, unsurprisingly.

The simple fact is that NOTHING is perfect. No matter how hard we try, we can't attain perfection. We are human, and since humans are naturally imperfect, nothing a human does will ever be perfect. If you've got a "7" relationship, you are doing good. And don't worry about being "normal" because there really is no such thing. What's normal for one person isn't necessarily normal for another person.

It's healthy in a relationship to have disagreements and bickering at times.

Life is not going to perfect. What helps me at times is when I think about all my wife is and does. And I realize she is everything that I want for a wife. She is not perfect but no one is. I love her and she is my best Friend. If I can fall back on that I will always be happy with my mate forever.

I feel the same way, every day I think about what my life would be if I hadn't made the decision to marry him. I was young and now unable to get out of the marriage. Are you willing to be content with your life? Or, do you need to spark, the interest, the compatibility of having a "soul mate". Or, is this who and how you want to spend the rest of your life.

You are happy. Excellent. I am happy, some things are crap but I see us being old together still bickering probably! Perfect would become dull very quickly....

Totally normal. 10 is unrealistic. Doesn't happen. Anything over 5 is worth saving. 7 is good.

Reality never meets our expectations! You have a hubby who loves you, and your marriage is working. That should be a 10!
