How do you get someone to accept being your roommate on sims1 for gamecube?

I have tried and I can not get past it. For somereason i can not beat it. Betty will not except it even when i have 3 mood points and have the hot tub running and i have tons of good food out and she is on 100 friend points and it still wont work. what is going on?

what about the long term friend points? they should be on at least 75.
