Either it is broken or it is not - only an X-ray will provide conclusive answer. However, it may be a fracture of the radius or ulna - a green-stick fracture that is not a complete break. Still it would be wise to consult a physician or hospital - your health is more important than money. Any fracture or break can develop complications, so be wise - get seen. Bruising and swelling are usual with any fracture - you don't mention that. It may be merely a bruise - some take a few days to 'come out' - be visible. Your symptoms are more consistent with the latter. My advice - err on the side of caution - get it looked at.

If you absolutely cannot move your fingers on the affected arm, or movement is very restricted, then you have more than probably broken your arm. If you can move your fingers, and the pain is just about tolerable, then it is probably a bad sprain. Alternate putting hot and cold compresses on it (hot water bottle for 20 mins, then ice pack), for about an hour or so.
I would still go to the doctor to resolve this matter, and then get health insurance as soon as you can. I never think about things like that as I'm from England and we have a national Health Service. It has its flaws, but there you go.

It doesn't sound like a break. Your arm would probably swell up like a balloon as my one did and they put a metal plate in with 4 screws. You may have a hairline fracture but it sounds more like a sprain or deep bruising. There is no such thing as a mildy broken arm. It is either broken or not. If it was broken it could restrict the blood flow to your fingers. If you have the sensation of loss of feeling or very could fingers tips sort it out, as starving the fingers of blood is the same as sarving them of oxygen, in short, they will die. Best come and live in the UK, health is free here.

Your arm isn't broken.
If it was broken, or even fractured, the pain wouldn't subside and you'd still be in utter agony. The pain would stop you sleeping and you'd be unable to cope with any use of the arm or anything touching it. Your arm would also be swollen and the swelling would not be going down.

If your arm is broken, major or minor, insurance or no insurance, you need to go to the hospital. I know if you don't have any insurance it's expensive, but you can't go around with a broken arm. You'll just have to work out some kind of payment plan with them.

If you broke your arm, you wouldn't be able to write that question, you'd be in serious agony and most likely have your arm in a cast!
