I will go and hear what they have to say. Lay down the rules and become the leader of the pack.

It's your choice really... It depends if you feel that you could trust those friends again. But all the same I would accept their 'invitation' to meet you and you should talk about it but you must be in control of the conversation, they must have a very good reason and good apology. You have to let them know, though that they've hurt you. Personally, I would listen to them but I don't think I'd get back with them unless there was a very good reason because I would think to myself, 'what if the person spreading these rumours had never admitted they were untrue - would my old friends have come back to me beginning for forgiveness?'... My answer - probably not.

Hope this helps!

I had the same exact problem, this one girl hated me and every week she would go up to everyone of my "old" friends and tell them some made up lie about me. And they believed her. they grabbed their things, and walk out of the room. I tried to convince them and it was a waist of time. when she found out they were all some made up lie she tryed inviting me over to her house and Tried to apologize . the truth is if she had really been my friend she would have believe ME. I told her: You were suppose to be my friend, and as soon and some one tells you a lie about me, you believed them, that is not being a friend." I wanted to be their friend but truth be told what if it were to happen again. No, they are worse than the lier. Sorry man but they just can't be true friends

That sounds like something that happened to me. But it was towards another friend and they were coming from me. Do you feel you wanna keep the friendship going or do you feel that it should end? Mine ended from the lack of communication. Figure out what you want and then try and talk things out. If things dont work out, it's perfectly fine. You may not be the best of friends that you once were but you're still friends none the less.

True friends stick by you no matter what...These are not true friends. Don't give them the time of day. It's them that lost a true friend not you. Think of it this way it gives someone new an opportunity to get to know you and be their friend.
