No. Too much oil is almost as bad as too little oil. Usually with plugs fouling up and you not being able to start the car. Get some taken out if necessary, it's easy to do and probably somebody in a garage would do it for nothing if you ask them nicely enough.

OK...means you're reposting so quickly...
Is the smoke black/blue or white? Does it smell sweet like maple or does it smell like something burning? It could be that there's an internal problem and you're burning oil. Your exhaust could also be shot and allowing these fumes to pass through without doing too much to them.

Check to see if the exhaust smells sweat like antifreeze. If if does or your antifreeze level is low then you might have a head gasket, head, block, or intake problem that is allowing engine coolant to enter the combustion chamber. When that happens the coolant turns to steam and comes out the tailpipe white. Black would indicate oil. If it just does it during start up and warm up and the antifreeze level is ok than that is normal. You always have some steam out of your tailpipe with humidity but cold weather makes it more noticeable.

You may get oil on the clutch plates if you put too much in. I suggest you drain some by removing via the sump plug into a tray.

you don't say what COLOUR the smoke is ..what makes you think you have too much oil in it ..if you have .drain a small amount out when COLD ..if smoke is white ..it is probably a head gasket .. if blue and oil levels are correct ..either wear in engine or valve seals

It's a lot cheaper to drain a little now, than fix the engine later.
Drain it.
