Which would you prefer - something that you'd really use for a while, or something that's silly or warm or romantic, but insubstantial?

Frivolous/Romantic gifts........ actually silly gifts. But they are romantic because they would show that my love really knows me. Knows what makes me laugh..... smile.. and feel. I think it would make for a holiday to remember. Whereas the practical gifts fall into our daily routine. The frivolous will never do so! They will be what we fall back on when we need to escape from the daily grind and smile as we remember. :)

Fat, red candles, the long burning kinds are nice and last for a bit if lit only during romance. I like a combination of both silly and warm, and occasionally romantic. Equally clothes, music, or something for my car is okay too. I like everything. Father Christmas has an easy time with me!

Can't be both, huh? I love the romantic idea. Really need the things I'd use.
Don't just gift her with a toaster or a vacuum cleaner, unless you also get her some jewellry or perfume or lovely flowers.

A mix of both. I mean, the present could be romantically wild and interesting, but it shouldn't be too seasonal or time-set.

Romantic? As in, for a spouse or something? I would say jewelry would be good. It lasts a long time, and everyone likes jewelry!
