Since you're going bold on the eyes, I'd suggest you go more subtle on the lips. I would suggest you use a nude shade of lipstick or gloss. At most, just a hair darker than your natural lip color.

Also depends on your skin and eye colour. Are you white, black, tanned, latina, mediterranean or oriental? Here are some tips,. given the fact that you've mentioned you're wearing black:
For white girls: If you're a blonde, any shade of pink gloss is cool. If you're a redhead, maybe you can use a shade of red that is not too intense. If you're a brunette, any tan or brownish shade as well as some pink glosses are cool.
For black girls: Generally black women have the most PRIVILEGED lips in the world, so ANY transparent gloss will do you nicely. But if you still like some extra colour, some copper shades of sparkly gloss are quite cool on darker skin tones.
For latinas: A common mistake made by latinas is to use super bright red lipstick. Latina girls generally come equipped with super gorgeous eyes, so they (we) should focus on the eyes and try not to go too hard on the lips... Remember that the fleshier your lips are the more gloss and the less colour. Some coppers are good, some mild shades of pink and brown... And if your skin tone is too dark, also go for the copper sparklies. Just don't neglect the eyes... Think J-Lo or Salma or Penelope...
Tanned, Mediterranean and Arabic: No need for any base foundation if you are gifted with a natural, caramel coloured skin... Eyes are a must and lips are generally plump and shiny... As with latinas, focus more on your eyes than the mouth... Just use a transparent super thick and shiny gloss... Bobby Brown has some really cool ones.
Oriental: Lucky you. Your entire face is a blank canvass. You can do reds, pinks, browns, you can do the eyes, you can go with or without rouge on your cheeks, you have a natural complexion that can hold anything and still look gorgeous!! If your lips are plump, make them matte.... If they're not, go for thick gloss to plump them up a bit... Choose any colour from here to the other side of the raimbow! ;)
Hope this helps!

LOL sorry, the gothic lifestyle is often going to corner the marketplace on black lipstick. it constantly has. anyone can pull off purple lipstick in the event that they discover one that unquestionably complements their pores and skin tone. Black isn't straightforward. unquestionably, I even have by no skill viewed anyone who isn't goth look good in black lipstick. in truth, most of the goths i've got viewed have regarded surprisingly terrible in it too. As on your liberal view of shade, good success convincing your place of work that black, green, and blue lipsticks are proper! lol you're in all likelihood very youthful although, i'm guessing. that is okay....that's what being youthful is for. Rock all the cheesy, unnatural colorings & atrocious clothing you desire and get it out of your equipment. That stuff will as a rule be long long previous once you advance up.

haha, since you're going out with your boyfriend i'm guessing either way the lipstick won't stay on long. (i've almost given up with my guy, lol. it seems everytime i reapply he gives me a big kiss). So nothing that will smudge and stain, try a white shimmery type gloss (vanilla). It'll look good in the club, add to your eyes, and is easy to reapply quickly and NOT easy to mess up.
(of course if you were going out with the girls that'd be an entirely different story, haha).
Have fun.

go smokey on the eyes (since you're wearing loads of black and wearing black eyeliner anyways) and wear sheer gloss (or some sorta beige-ish color) on your lips :)

Well if you're doing dark eyes, go for a light pink or clear gloss.
