Sting said in an interview that he was sorry he released it because it was too much about stalking. He said he did not really think about how obsessive it was until after it had been recorded. I Know that a lot of people like it and think that it is a love song, I hope that does not change it for you. I try and think of it as a beneficial type looking out for the welfare of a person and not the jealous phase stalking thing. But I have to admit the dark overtone is there. It depends on what a person is going through I guess.
