my ideas are
Bilbo Baggins [me] (i am the director i can cast who i like)
Thorin Oakenshield, (the king under the moutan) [robert daniro]
Óin, [auditions wil be held for this part]
Glóin (Gimli's father in The Lord of the Rings), [John Rhys-Davies] (with make-up and a wig)
Dwalin,[auditions wil be held for this part]
Balin,[a mate from drama school]
Bifur,[a mate from drama school]
Bofur,[domanic monaghan]
Bombur, [rikie gavase]
Fíli and Kíli, (the twins and the yungest) [any acting twins over the age of 20 yet under 30]

Would just call any casting director for the Dwarves...any 13 midgets would do fine....just understanding that one (Bombur) has to be real fat...and two (Fili and Kili) have to be kind of young-looking. Would love to have had Billy Barty for Thorin, but he's dead, alas..
John Rhys-Davies did a great job as Gimli in LOTR, and...with grey hair and a grey beard would make a great Thorin. But he's 6'1" (taller than Viggo Mortensen or Orlando Bloom) and would really stick out among other midg....uh....little people. Plus, I don't think they want to have to go through the special effects contortions they did in LOTR to make him seem the right size.
For Beorn, I'd cast Robbie Coltrane. He's such a perfect fit as Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, I'd think he'd be just as perfect as Beorn.
For Bilbo....who else? Michael Jackson
And of course...the ONLY person who can really do the voice of Smaug justice: Hillary Clinton
And my choice to play Gollum: Andy Dick...he'd do for the part what Johnny Depp did for pirate captains.
