Which is the best season of Smallvile?

I'm up to season 4 (which i can't find for under 30 dollars) and i'm wondering which one people like the best, so please tell me (but try to avoid any spoilers)!

season 6 i have season 5 right here and already watched it want it ?

I like season 1 and two and after that I lost interest but my husband still watches it. I liked him better w/ the girl that was the reporter.
