Is this true or is this false because of the PS3 came out and PSP is coming out with some decent games now

The PSP is not going to die anytime soon. The UMD movies did but that was bound to happen anyway since you can only play them on the PSP. Besides it is Nintendo's biggest portable competition since the Sega Game Gear, and it has a strong fan base to back it up. It will only die when PSP2 comes out. There are just too many good things happening for it.

Isn't the PSP compatable with the PS3? I'd think more people would want to buy a PSP with their PS3 (or visa versa) because of what functionality they have together.

it certainly is not doing as well as hoped, but I dont think sony is quite ready to pull the plug on the psp yet. UMD has been dead for months on the movie end (can't believe Sony didn't see this coming with such a terrible idea like umd).

I don't know about the PSP dying, but Sony has recently announced that they are offering movie downloads which signals the end of movies on UMD.

maybe not..ps3 cost too much than psp..so i think people will still support psp..ps3 will be in for jst a few months and i wouldn't last long..

Only the movies BASICALLY are. Most studios WON'T go on UMD anymore. The ones Sony owns will still have some movies on UMD but that is the only one.
