junk e-mail Spam. Since Spam is the best meat available (next to possum) why use that name for something bad?

I think maybe it's because like the ingredients in SPAM the meat, no one knows where SPAM the junk mail comes from!
Or maybe it's because like the meat, in the email you get a little of everything!

spam meat is made from left over meat . and junk mail is just the mail no one really cares about.
