I am 28 right now and my net worth isn't negative. I really don't use credit to pay for stuff though. Most things I can live without and I have plenty of fun. I only make about 36K a year and I don't have much left over but I do OK because I don't spend $$ I don't have. My net worth is just over 100K but I inherited some land that boosts up my numbers a lot. Without the land I would be around $10K.

I believe it's actually NEGATIVE. The average net worth for a 35 year old is $9,900. Depressing isn't it?

It's normal to be in the negative. You've just gotta work to get out of it. I've been doing the work online thing, and so far it's working out ok for me. Not as OMG your gonna be a millionare like they say, but it's extra money, so I'm not complaining!
