If you failed every class, then yes, your chances of transferring right now is pretty much dead in the water.

But if you failed a class, then it's still possible to transfer. Your first semester of college is mainly a transition into college life. Most students are unprepared for how classes work, and think that they'll be treated like they were in high school.

College involves far more reading, researching, and doesn't just let you "slide by." So it's not unusual for many first semester students to do poorly. However, if you learn from this and do better next semester, then your chances of transferring will definitely be better. They'll see that you overcame the challenge of failure to succeed, which makes you look good.

It really depends on where you are transferring to If you are going from a University to a 2-year college, they may accept you as a student, but they will evaluate your credit transfer on a course by course basis. Usually, most schools will only accept C or better to transfer. It is a difficult time to transfer now with schools getting applications for the next academic year processed now, so if you are a marginal transfer you may want to wait until March or April to apply for the transfer when the admissions office will have more time to discuss your situation with you.

It depends on what university you are interested in transferring to. You might need to do a semester or two at a junior college to get your GPA back up, then transfer to the school of your choice. Even if you transfer through a whole bunch of schools, when you get your diploma it only has the school that you graduated from on it.

You can do it! Best of luck to you. School is hard but it pays off.

It's not to late, and you will finish college later than you suppose to, but if you transfer the other school will look at your grades. Take some summer classes to make up the ones that you failed.

It is not the end of the world. Most schools recognize that students often do not do their best work in the first semester of college. You may need to wait a while to prove yourself, so community college courses, etc. and then apply to a new school. If you show in the intervening time that you can apply yourself and do better academically, many schools will not be overly concerned with one bad term, especially if it is you first college term.

depends on where you are trying to transfer to, if its a nice school, then good luck getting in. Just stick with it and get your grades up. Often there is a special program for freshmen who mess up the first year, and you can have those grades erased if you retake the classes. you should look into that.

Yeah, pretty much. Unless you pass the second with nothing but A's. It all depends on what you made in the first place.

Change your major, make a study schedule and stick to it (change the subject you're studying every 1/2 hr-hr, then reward yourself with half-hr tv after two hrs). AVOID PARTIERS LIKE THE PLAGUE! They are there only to waste their time and yours.
