No, I don't think I would.
I think that if I took over the world I really wouldn't have time to do what I really wanted to do. It might seem like taking over the world means you could do whatever it is you wanted, but if you kind of like the way the world is going, it automatically becomes your job to have to keep it that way.
And we mortals are so hard to keep in line. :)
I think most of us have enough trouble managing our own lives, so I think managing a few billion other lives would be a terrible burden, which would still render you unable to do what you want. And that wouldn't make me very happy, so what would be the point? :)

sure. then i could fix all the crap that is going on, wars in the middle east, starving babies in Africa, and i would work on my own country as well. and then i would relax by the pool with a margarita...while people waited on me.
