You should be allowed to protect yourself if attacked, but no more than that.
If you like fighting as a form of recreation, and want to do it in an ethical and socially acceptable way, take some boxing or martial arts classes. But you have to go by the rules. If they find out you are using your skills inappropriately, in or out of class, you will be kicked out.
If you are just a brawler, go ahead and someday you'll land in jail.

not in school.....out of school - whatever...but in school there are too many people that are not involved that become involed and it it just getting attention and gathering a crowd that excites people ..so if it is a serious issue - handle it privately, to get out of it all together without having to fight would be best

No.... Fighting is so immature and unnecessary. This country needs to learn that VIOLENCE SOLVES NOTHING and SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED IN OUR SCHOOLS. Its pretty ridiculous to think that it should be in any way acceptable behavior.
