don't take the city bus, it will take too long. Instead, go to the PCL bus desk on the ferry. The price really depends on which ferry terminal you are leaving from . Here is a link, however the prices listed are for the entire trip including the price of the ferry. It will cost about $20 if you are coming from Victoria. It looks like they don't offer service from the Horseshoe bay terminal to the airport. It takes about an hour to go from the Tswassen ferry terminal to the airport, but it depends on the time of day.

Also if you are travelling durring xmas, make sure you get to the ferrry terminal early, you may also want to book your bus ticket in advance as well.

Vancouver Island has several airports - one is at Victoria. And Vancouver, BC has a major airport. There are also airports at the north end of Vancouver Island. If your final destination is Victoria, then that's the airport you should fly to. If it's up island, then choose one of the northern airports. There are direct flights from California to Victoria, but for some of the other airpots you might have to land in Vancouver (YVR) and change planes. There are dozens of airports in BC, and another international airport at Abbotsford, and direct flights to the US from Prince George.

there are TWO ferry terminals, at opposite ends of Greater Vancouver - Horseshoe Bay and Tssawassan..

so depends which ferry terminal you are arriving at AND time of day..
Tssawassen is closer to YVR
