Well if I died today I don't think I would have done much, other than helped a few people open their eyes a little. But I have big plans for my life and I will most definately leave my mark. It all starts with my heart which belongs to my band (Ancient Wings Unfold) and my soul which will never be brought down by the millions who endlessly judge me. I WILL BE HEARD.
And that's just the beginning... Good question by the way, Hopefully it'll make people think alittle bit.

Hopefully, by those I influenced into getting an education and those others that have led a good life because they had someone to encourage them, that's what I wish to believe. Whenever I see one of those who were on the verge of ruining their lives and I see them now in uniform, or see how succesful they are in life, or those who are teaching... it makes it all worth while.
All the hours of talking and helping them stay in school, giving them carfare and lunch money, or the times I forced them to accompany me to the gym whenever I caught them stealing or was told they had stolen something or found out they had been fighting; I forced them to learn to swim or practice boxing or martial arts for 3 or 4 months... ha, today they laugh but they realize that I bullied them through the straight and narrow path! I didn't do this for recognition; I did it for the most selfish reason I know... it made ME feel good knowing that those kids will have had a better life because someone cared, and hopefully, they will influence other kids, too.

Chances are the world, as you refer to it, won't remember. Our life here on earth is finite in all respects; when all is said and done you should have one question to ask "did I do my best?" every day and all the time. If you can say that you have, that is what counts and nevermind about the world. Ask yourself how the world knows you are here? It doesn't. Each of us is an island in the midst of life.

In a thousand years, no will know that we were around. There might be a tombstone with your name etched in it or inked on a family tree, but even they will eventually turn to dust. Unless you're an alexander the great or hitler type person, all your accomplishment will be lost to oblivion.
Sure you make a difference with your children and possibly their children, but in the long run, even they will be forgotten. So does that make our brief life meaningless? Hmmmm, yes in the long run, but no in the short run.
To be or not to be......"to be" is temporary....."not to be" is inevitable.

How did you live or you in fact paid the rent for occupying a place in this world. A guest is judged when he leaves. Were you a good guest?

The Lord is the only one who will know my good deeds and my kind heart. He is the only judge. We are not supposed to do good works for ourselves, so it's pointless to worry about whether the world knows or not.
