WHY does it turn us men on? Because they're BOOBS... men are VISUALLY DRAWN to boobs... we can't help it. However, anything more than a glance is rude... breastfeeding is natural, but women should use a towel, shirt, blanket, etc. to be more modest about it. There is NOTHING wrong with public breastfeeding... just be discreet, please - or else don't get upset when you whip out your breasts in front of men. We have Boob-Dar... LOL.

Well said!
Of course women have every right to breast-feed in public. And it shouldn't bother other people whether she's got one or both breasts exposed when she's doing it. Or whether she shows a nipple during the latching-on process.
I don't have much time for those who criticise women who breast-feed openly. The most vociferous crtics are usually other women who are jealous.
There may be an element of exhibitionism on the part of some women who breast-feed in public, but the public will just have to put up with it. For some women -- those who are normally flat-chested -- it may provide them with the one chance they'll have to show off something that can be described as breasts before reverting to their flat-chested state.
Some women, though, are basically men-haters and looking for something to be critical about. Any woman exposing her breasts in a public place is liable to find people looking at them. If she doesn't want them looked at, then she can cover breast and baby with a blanket and find hersefl a corner where she won't be obvious.

I have wondered that too. I myself an a breast feeding mother but I have never done it in public, but if I did then of course I would cover up. Other wise I guess the women who don't cover up will have to deal with it. And I have seen women looking at the mom w/ the boob hanging out too.... not just guys. Good question!

Well it is a perfectly natural thing to breast feed your baby.
Only in this country would it be viewed as anything other than that. If the baby bottle had not been invented, no one would give it a second glance, because you would see it all the time, however, today, less and less women take the time required to do so, and our children are suffering. Wonder why the rise in ADHD and all that, probably due to not getting the proper nutrients in infancy. Messes with the brain while it is developing and also there are special nutrients in Mothers milk they just can not replicate in a can.
I think men are rude to gauk at these wonderful Moms.

A recieving blanket is the perfect way to breast-feed in public and still be dicreet. I breast-fed my baby it was wonderful but I used a recieving blanket to cover her its light and thin but covers great.
If you don't try to cover it up you're looking for attention.
I was working a video dept. one time and this woman walks up her shirt totally undone with her baby feeding. She had both those things exposed and was not trying to be dicreet at all. I couldn't help but stare and I am in no way interested in seeing a womans breasts. She was looking for attention no doubt.

they dont get mad cuz your looking ,they get mad cuz of the look on your face when your looking. they see people being critical that they are feeding their baby in a public place even though every other human gets to eat in public without the disgust of others. i always covered up when i fed my babies but that didnt stop the looks. people cannont expect a mother to stay home for an entire year. taking care of the baby is not the only responsibility we have!

did you already know that throughout Ontario (and maximum of Canada) it quite is one hundred% unlawful to ask a nursing mom to take her infant to the bathing room to breastfeed or to place her breasts away? It replaced right into a super bone of rivalry for the longest time, especially through fact people have been apprehensive approximately the way it made others sense. besides, i for my area do no longer sense uncomfortable approximately it. and function quite a few lady pals who will "pop it out" whilst infant starts grumbling, regardless of the place we are. on the comparable word, i might lean in direction of utilising a small blanket to drape over boob and infant (especially through fact a bare breast gets fairly chilly). Frankly, in case you're uncomfortable with it, then do exactly no longer seem. study a mag, stare at your palms or close your eyes and hum a song. I do the comparable element once I see somebody in a spandex catsuit that relatively should not be donning it. :)

I think breast feeding is a wonderful and natural thing but if a woman is out in public, I think she should be discrete.
