Brooks Lake about 50 miles north of Dubois, WY. You spincast or fish the bottom for large rainbow trout. Word of warning though in that it can turn very cold in the summer. In August, it was in the 30's and it snowed that day for about 1 hour.
Another favorite spot is Pearl Lake about 60 miles north of Steamboat Springs, CO. It is considered a trophy lake (i.e., only can keep 2 fish over 18"). The lake is stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout and artic graylings. Best fishing method is spincasting with a lure (yellow/black tasmanian devil).

I like to fish for Lake Erie walleye and smallmouth bass. I like to fish for lake trout in the Lower Niagra River in the spring. I like to fish smallmouth bass in Dale Hollow Lake in Tennesee. In the 80's I used to go to Ontario with a friend and fish some smaller lakes a couple of hours North of Rice Lake. We fished for bass, walleye, muskie, perch and large and small mouth bass. That was the best time.

I grew up in Idaho next to the Snake River. Bass were always the most fun but I always caught catfish. My cousin caught a sturgeon once.

Good fishing in Idaho. Everyone would catch something, unlike Calif where you're lucky to even get a nibble.
