How do I make him understand?

I told the 26 yr old this morning that our relationship was not getting any better and that i was moving out,he is now calling me every few mins. and even left work because he couldnt stand me leaving him. I care about him but his mental status i can no longer harder. I dont want to get the law involved because it would just cause more problems. What can i do to make him understand that i dont want him anymore,hes trying to get me to leave my stuff at the house and give him a time limit when im coming back. I cant promise nothing right now,he has done some terrible things to me mentally that it will take along time to get over if i ever do. HELP im going crazy. You can certainly threaten to call the police. And follow through if he doesn't back off. Get all your stuff out NOW or reconcile yourself to leaving it behind and starting over. Sounds like you'll be better off without him no matter how much "stuff" you lose; at least you'll have your sanity. Good luck!
